Using PVC pipes, a vintage Coca-Cola crate, and plastic bags, team Re-Crate designed and assembled a chair that can be re-created by anyone. Their statement of philosophy is; “to create a chair using readily available and repurposed materials, promoting resourcefulness and reducing waste. Our goal is to challenge consumerist culture by demonstrating that functional and aesthetically pleasing items can be created from everyday items rather than buying new furniture.”
This project, along with all supplemental materials, was created with three peers. My roles in the design team included ideation, designing the self-assembly guide booklet, and layout design for the case study publication.
